The job determines everyday life, it is not possible to really switch off and even on vacation, work is still in the back of their minds - this is how some employees feel.
Now, in the summer months, many employees are looking forward to their long-awaited vacation, perhaps they will go to a hotel to relax or explore destinations at home.
What some have in common, though, is that they can't properly forget about work.

According to a Glassdoor survey, young people between the ages of 18 and 24 in particular are not satisfied with their vacation days.

Unlimited vacation: 78 percent of employees want more vacation
Looking forward to it for a long time, but soon over again - that's usually how it is with vacations.
Around 78 percent of the employees surveyed stated that they would like more vacation time.
According to
Glassdoor
, the younger respondents in particular are not happy.
Only 17 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds are satisfied with the vacation days available.

Discussions about burnout - does unlimited vacation help?
A Glassdoor
research team has found that more and more people are discussing burnout
.
According to the information, the discussions between employees have increased significantly in the past twelve months.
There was an increase of around 93 percent.
The majority (68 percent) believe that annual leave can prevent possible burnout, according to the survey, only a quarter of respondents are encouraged by their employer to take the entire vacation.
A third of those surveyed indicated that they were unable to take all of their vacation time because they had too much work to do.
The changed working conditions are also a problem, with home office some respondents are said to have forgotten to take vacation.

Back to work a little more relaxed after the holiday
Holidays are intended to reduce work-related stress, and that is exactly what works for 34 percent of those surveyed.
According to Glassdoor
's survey
, women (33 percent) come away from vacation a little more refreshed than men (25 percent).
In general, however, the majority of respondents (71 percent) feel mentally stronger when they return to work after vacation.
Around 54 percent of respondents to the
Glassdoor
survey wish there was unlimited vacation time to take care of their mental health.
New working models have emerged as a result of the corona pandemic in particular, and work can be done more flexibly in many areas.

there are already employers who offer unlimited holidays.
