It is undoubtedly the key ally of the summer for all people prone to sunburn: Biafine.
This popular French drug in the event of superficial burns, for the treatment of secondary erythema or for radiotherapy treatments, has recently seen its use diverted by American women.
On the TikTok social network, they are whispering a new beauty secret: Biafine is a first-choice moisturizer, a magical product that every "Beauty addict" must have in their possession.
And if this cream is indeed very rich, its composition does not lend it at all to daily use.
Worse, applying this product every day could be dangerous.
The active principle of Biafine, trolamine, is indeed suspected of being a probable carcinogen.
And the parabens present in the product are suspected of being endocrine disruptors.
In France, pharmacists, doctors and dermatologists do not hesitate to point out the absurdity of this new trend.
Dermatologist Audrey Drey, better known on Instagram as "Dermato Drey", explains why using Biafine as a moisturizer is anything but a good idea.
