(ANSA) - BEIJING, 02 AUG - China is attacking the US, accused of "treason" on the Taiwan issue and of being "the greatest destroyer of today's peace" in the run-up to Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taipei.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a statement that the One China principle "is the universal consensus, the political basis for China's exchanges with other countries, the core of fundamental interests and an insurmountable red line."
Some politicians "only care about their own interests, openly play with fire on Taiwan and become enemies of 1.4 billion Chinese who will never end well."
