Facebook users make a nasty discovery at Haribo - "I only noticed yesterday"

On Facebook, some users have long since noticed that the confectionery producers are not only turning the price screw.
Specifically, it is about the gummy bear brand Haribo, which delivers smaller packs.

Facebook users discover nasty scam – "Haribo is a fox!"
According to

, the users quickly noticed that the new Haribo packaging also contained fewer bears.
Instead of 250, there are only 160 grams in the pack, says a user and posts a photo of the pack as proof.
“So Haribo is a fox, instead of increasing prices – smaller packaging sizes.” Another user writes appropriately: “I only noticed it yesterday.”
The Facebook users are right about one thing: the pack of Haribo gummy bears is getting smaller, but the prices are also going up.
From the point of view of Haribo Germany sales manager Gordon Kaup, this is no secret.
All of this happens "completely transparently", the Haribo boss explained to the

In concrete terms, the classic Goldbären bag will no longer weigh 200 grams, but 175 grams, said Kaup.

However, nothing will change in the sizes of the large Haribo packs that can be bought in branches of Kaufland, Lidl and Co.
However, the price per pack of gummy bears will increase from 1.29 to 1.39 euros.

, Haribo is demanding more money from dealers to a similar extent.
Like producers in other sectors, Kaup justifies the measures with “severely increased costs”.
And not only that, the confectionery manufacturer based in Bonn does not rule out bottlenecks either.
Kaup: "We can't currently sell every bag that is in demand." Facebook comments suggest that other confectionery companies are struggling with similar problems.
"Even with children's chocolate there used to be 10 bars, now only eight," writes one user.
"It's not just Haribo that does it," adds another, looking at the entire range of confectionery.
