(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 02 - "The PNRR makes 2.4 billion available to the tourism sector: 1% of all resources foreseen for Italy. A little bit given that the sector represents 13% of GDP; and is driving the recovery of this year, as certified by the International Monetary Fund, according
to the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia who, in two separate webinairs, met with the trade associations of the hotel sector.
"For these reasons - he continues - I have repeatedly intervened with the Minister of Economy Daniele Franco to orient resources on PnrrTurismo that would otherwise not be used by other administrations. One case above all: the tax credit for the modernization of accommodation facilities had a fund from 600 million, then raised to 700, in the face of requests for 3 billion euros. Waiting for new funds from the Mef - Garavaglia announces - the Ministry of Tourism is diverting over 300 million to the tax credit, using its own resources already in the budget ".
