Only 61,000 spectators in two weeks: it is an understatement to say that "Rifkin's festival", Woody Allen's latest comedy released on July 13, does not attract crowds.
The feature film with Wallace Shawn, Gina Gershon and Louis Garrel made the worst start in France for the 86-year-old filmmaker.
The comparison with his previous opuses is cruel: in two weeks, "A rainy day in New York", released in 2019, had recorded 352,000 admissions, "Wonder Wheel" 253,000 admissions in 2017 and "Café Society" 566. 000 the previous year.
Between 2010 and 2015, all Woody Allens accumulated between 376,000 and 859,000 admissions during their first two weeks of operation.
