But even in one of the worst crises, he shows strength.

The journalist Wojciech Rogacin has many praiseworthy words in his biography about the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj.
As you read, you can feel the respect and admiration, but also a bit of astonishment that someone like Zelenskyj has come so far.
But even those who expected war could not foresee that President Zelenskyi would defy in an entirely unusual way.
That he becomes the symbol of the struggle of the free world against the evil empire.

The biography is easy to read, even for people who have no previous political knowledge.
I can't help but say that some passages sound very pathetic.
For years we have had a glut of biographies of Putin on the book market, who destroys world peace and who commits the worst war crimes.
It's high time to change that and tell about one person who was the first to try to stand up to it.
Trying to change the course of history.

The biography is well structured, starting with Zelenskyy's birth, through his career as an actor, to the new leader of Ukraine.
A whole chapter also deals with his relationship with his wife Olena.
The simple and almost friendly use of language guides the reader well through the story.
Peppered with photos from his childhood, youth and current pictures, there is another very personal, tangible impression of Zelenskyj.
In his acknowledgments, Rogacin mentions how privileged he felt to be able to write this biography.
You can see that in the book itself.

Although I did not request this biography from the publisher, I am glad that I got it.
She touched me on levels that I would not have believed in a biography.
It may be due to current events or Wojciech's spelling, I can't name that.
I can heartily recommend the book to everyone, regardless of whether they are interested in politics or not.
The deep insight into the life of the currently best-known politician can also impress non-political people.
