Two months after "the orca of the Seine", another animal which has nothing to do in the second longest French river has nevertheless been detected there.
“An unusual aquatic animal of medium build” was observed there on Tuesday, the Eure prefecture said in a press release in the evening.
The animal is moving in a "shallow area", but it is not possible to get in touch with it, "at the risk of accentuating its confusion", warns the prefecture.

Several witnesses say they saw a dolphin, reports the daily Paris-Normandie.
Sector “under heightened surveillance”
The sector has been placed "under increased surveillance in order to follow the evolution of the situation" and the inhabitants must not approach the animal, "in order to optimize its chances of survival", urges the prefecture.
