Exceptional people don't have a particular talent or level of education.
A former FBI agent has highlighted characteristics for CNBC.
People are all quite different - but some of them stand out even more from others.
For example, there are people who get all the attention when they enter a room.
One reason for this may be that they know a lot and are seen as role models.
However, what makes people exceptional is not entirely clear.

reports that a former CNBC agent has been investigating the qualities of extraordinary people.

Extraordinary people: Five characteristics make them special
Former agent Joe Navarro has studied human behavior for over 40 years and is now known as a body language specialist.
He analyzed the characteristics of extraordinary people.
Special talent, a certain level of education or a lot of money are not decisive for extraordinary people.
Instead, according to Navarro, the following skills are crucial:
self discipline
power of observation
communication skills
controlled action
psychological wellbeing

Extraordinary people act attentively and consciously
Self-disciplined people get a lot out of themselves through curiosity and commitment.
Athletes like sprinter Usain Bolt or tennis player Serena Williams are good examples.
According to Navarro, however, awareness of one's own strengths and weaknesses is also an advantage, because in this way one can assess oneself precisely and act accordingly.
By the way, everyone can learn self-discipline if you put a little effort into it.
People with good observation skills usually work with all their senses and are good at assessing other people.
For example, they recognize what the person's intentions might be and can distinguish important from unimportant.
According to Navarro, extraordinary people also have a high level of communication skills – those who master this earn admiration from their fellow human beings.
Navarro divides important points for good communication into four areas: addressing feelings, building relationships with the other person, reacting promptly and listening properly.
Human actions mostly show what one thinks of others and what is important for a person.
Anyone who can control their actions usually has a few qualities that are necessary for controlled action.
These include self-control, good observation skills and communication skills.
Based on these aspects, extraordinary people first question and assess the situation - only then do they act.
A combination of all properties makes sense for psychological well-being.
However, no big gestures are needed, small gestures such as thank you notes or a smile are enough to strengthen mental well-being.
The aim is that stress, fear or worries do not arise in the first place.
