Eight water bombers and three hundred firefighters were mobilized to put out the fire which threatened the inhabitants and covered 210 ha.
On the same day, TGV and TER train traffic was interrupted in the Landes due to a fire.
The day before, 450 ha of maquis had gone up in smoke in Haute-Corse before 116 drops of water managed to fix it.
