The human body suffers under high heat, and some do not resist.
A certain number of fragile people probably died in connection with the heat wave during two episodes that occurred at the end of June and then in mid-July, and others risk losing their lives this week with very high temperatures again.
Dehydration, heat stroke… “The increase in mortality is very immediate, and is concentrated in the first three days following exposure” to heat, indicates Public Health France.
But the number of victims is not yet known, while estimates have already been announced by other countries such as Spain and Portugal.
