Underpass at the Allach S-Bahn station: man drove down the stairs by car

An 86-year-old accidentally drove his car down the stairs of a passenger tunnel at a Munich S-Bahn station instead of into the parking garage entrance.
The car slid down the stairs of the underpass on Tuesday when fortunately nobody was there, said a spokesman for the federal police.
Nobody was injured in the incident at the Allach S-Bahn station.
However, there was damage to the stairs and car.
The fire department recovered the senior's car from Munich.
According to the information, he wanted to drive home afterwards.
Because the local police could not determine the extent of the damage to the car, the man was forbidden to continue driving, it said.
In addition, the 86-year-old will probably not be able to avoid having his general driving ability checked.
