Twenty teams from different governorates qualified for the final qualifiers for the 2022 National School Debating Championship organized by the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in the Excellence and Creativity Commission for secondary school students, after passing the first stage competitions that were held within the (Damascus and Lattakia) gatherings at the end of last July.
According to a statement issued by the commission, SANA received a copy of it today: 17 teams, 7 from the Damascus grouping and 10 from the Latakia group, qualified directly, and they are the teams that won the first places in their groups within the (Damascus and Lattakia) groups, while two teams tied for the top of the eighth group in the Damascus group (Team Outstanding School). The first in Homs and the Manarat Al-Shahba community team in As-Suwayda) and accordingly it was decided to hold a play-off between the two teams to determine the group leader who will qualify for the finals.
Also, according to the statement, the two best second-placed teams in their groups in Damascus and Lattakia were qualified to the preliminary stage of the final competitions, to start a new competition between these four teams for the tickets to qualify for the finals, thus completing the contract of the 20 qualified teams to participate in the final competitions of the National Debating Championship The school will be held between 25 and 31 August at the National Center for Excellence in Lattakia.
The authority indicated that the final results of the competitions for the first phase of the championship can be viewed through the electronic link provided on its official page on the social networking site “Facebook”.
