Product recall: General Mills Israel, the importer of "Hagen Daz" products, announced today (Thursday) that products were being taken off the shelves, due to the presence of chloroethanol (2CE) residues in some of the products.
Last month, there was a proactive recall of vanilla flavored ice cream, after residues of ethylene oxide were found in some samples.
As a precaution, the tests were extended - and that's how the current remains were discovered.
