Once again, manufacturers of wheat flour have to withdraw their products from sale.

Only the state of Bavaria is affected.

Nersingen/Landsberg am Lech - The mill shop Birgitt Harder is recalling the wheat flour Hardermühle Strass Type 405 with 2.5 kg and the best before date April 25, 2023.

The reason given by the company based in Nersingen is that the product was found to produce Shiga toxin Escherichia coli (STEC).

These are E.Coli bacteria that can lead to diarrhea and abdominal cramps.

Customers can return the product at any time for a refund of the purchase price.

The flour was sold in small quantities exclusively regionally in the Birgit Harder mill shop and in butchers, bakeries and farm shops in the Neu-Ulm and Augsburg districts, the manufacturer said.

Recall: Contamination of fields with liquid manure or manure

For the same reason, the Wallner farm shop is recalling its organic wheat flour type 550 with 1 kg from the market and warning consumers of E.Coli bacteria.

A press release states that the origin of the pathogen can be traced back to animal excrement.

The contamination is possible by fertilizing the fields with liquid manure or manure.

Dog droppings in the field can also have contaminated the raw product "grain".

Already this week the

Mühle Franz Brand from Lower Bavaria recalled their wheat flour because it was contaminated with germs.

In order to avoid serious damage to consumers, it is important to act correctly in the event of a recall and not to consume the affected products, but to bring them back to shops and supermarkets.
