Gas: EU, 'turbine is not sanctioned, only apologies from Moscow'

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, AUGUST 05 - The EU sanctions do not in any case block the transport of instruments linked to the export of Russian gas, including the Siemens turbine that had been repaired in Canada.

"Whatever is said in this sense by Moscow is simply false. It is an excuse not to supply gas to the EU."

This was underlined by the spokesman of the EU Commission, Eric Mamer.
