(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 06 - American actress Anne Heche, 53, is hospitalized in critical condition after crashing her blue Mini Cooper into a house in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles firefighters reported that her car went off the road and crashed into a two-story house in Los Angeles' Mar Vista neighborhood, "causing structural damage and exploding in a major fire."
Heche was "taken to a hospital in the area with critical conditions."
