Recall: Company Recalls Certain Gin From Trade - Glass Shard Find

A recall is currently in effect for one batch of “Wellenbrecher Nordic Gin”.
The product was sold in four federal states.
Eckernförde ‒ The manufacturer Onyx Vertrieb is recalling its “Wellenbrecher Nordic Gin” from the market.
The product may contain broken glass, the company said.
The 700ml bottle went on sale in Berlin, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein.
As a precaution, consumers are advised not to consume the gin from the affected bottling.
Other bottles are not affected by the recall, the company said.
Consumers got their money back without presenting the receipt.

Recall: Glass splinters can lead to internal injuries
The glass splinters can cause serious injuries to the mouth and throat.
In the worst case, the splinters can lead to internal injuries and bleeding.
Consumption of the product is not recommended.

Such recalls occur again and again because there are glass splinters in food.
It was not until the end of July that warnings were issued against eating certain types of vegetables.
Edeka also warned last month about its Edeka Bio My Veggie salad mayonnaise and spoke of the risk of possible contamination with glass splinters.

Foreign objects such as glass splinters in food are not to be trifled with.
But plastic parts are also dangerous.
For this reason, warnings were recently given against a sausage product from the company's own brand "ja!" to protect customer health.
But the Federal Office for Consumer Protection also repeatedly warns of dangerous bacteria in food.
Just recently, a company from Lower Bavaria had to recall its wheat flour contaminated with germs, as there was a particular danger for infants and small children.
