Britain's Princess Beatrice turned 34 on Monday.

She is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, both 62, and a granddaughter of the Queen.

She is currently tenth in line to the British throne.

British tabloids are now speculating as to why the princess has not yet received any public congratulations from the royal family.

The future position of Beatrice and her younger sister Eugenie, 32, in the royal family has also been uncertain since Andrew has ceased to play a role in royal life due to his involvement in the Eppstein abuse scandal.

According to reports, when heir to the throne Prince Charles, 73, one day sits on the throne, he will have in mind a streamlined royal family in which the two princesses will not play a major role.

Journalist Richard Palmer, "Royals" correspondent for the British tabloid "Daily Express", explained the lack of congratulations with a new social media strategy.

From now on, "non-working" members of the royal family should only receive public congratulations on milestone birthdays.

The Queen and the official bodies were also silent on Duchess Meghan's birthday last Thursday, but congratulated her brother-in-law Prince William and his wife Kate as well as Prince Charles and his wife Camilla via Twitter.

Beatrice married her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a close family ceremony in 2020 during the pandemic restrictions.

She became a mother for the first time in September last year.
