(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 08 - 11,976 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Health Minister.
Yesterday there were 26,662 infected.
Victims are 113, up from 74 yesterday.
The rate is at 15.8%, stable from 16% yesterday.
All in all, between antigenic and molecular, 75,602 swabs were performed.
On the other hand, 339 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, three fewer than yesterday, while there are 23 daily admissions. On the other hand, 9,052 patients are hospitalized in ordinary wards, that is 126 more than yesterday.
Coronavirus positive Italians return to drop towards one million: they are currently 1,054,167, or 40,789 less than yesterday.
In total, 21,325,402 people have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the dead have risen to 173,249.
Idimessi and healed are 20,097,986 with an increase of 52,651.
