In Munich, a 21-year-old man is believed to have died after a drug deal went wrong.
The police announced this on Monday.
Officers are now looking for three suspects.
According to the current status of the investigation, the young man and his 16-year-old companion traveled from their home in Coburg, Bavaria, to Munich on Saturday to buy drugs there.
They are said to have met three previously unknown men of a similar age at the Messestadt Ost underground station and from there they went together to a nearby park.
The 21-year-old is said to have moved away from the group with the alleged main perpetrator and into a nearby residential area.
There is said to have been an altercation between the two men.
The police said the man from Coburg had returned to his companion "seriously injured" and collapsed.
A resident dialed 911.
The 21-year-old was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
The police were still looking for the three suspects with more than 15 patrol cars on Saturday, but have not been able to pick them up so far.
Witnesses are now being asked to contact officials.
