A 15-year-old from Perleberg in Brandenburg fell victim to blackmail after exchanging intimate pictures over the Internet.
The youth contacted an unknown person via the news function of an Internet portal, reported the police department north.
After initially harmless messages, the two also exchanged intimate pictures.
On Saturday, the stranger then demanded 35,000 euros with the threat that he would otherwise send his picture to his friends.
However, the 15-year-old did not pay, but filed a complaint on Sunday.
However, a picture had already been sent to a contact of the young person, according to the police.
