The French pop-rock band La Femme, which was supposed to perform in Israel this weekend, canceled its performance this evening (Tuesday).
According to Shaul Mizrahi, the owner of the "Barbie" club, where the performance was supposed to take place, the reason stems from the security situation, and perhaps a political aspect: "Because of the imagined world, the band chose to cancel the show immediately and not postpone it."
In a post published on the Barbie's Facebook page, Mizrahi wrote that everyone who called the club about the performance, asked why it was cancelled.
"This is undoubtedly a wise question, since there is no longer a war or an operation in Gaza, and the corona virus has also passed - so why anyway?", he wrote.
"When we live in an imaginary world and the State of Israel is in an imaginary war and the Eiffel Tower on top of all the piles of iron is an architectural creation, because of the imaginary world, the band chose to cancel the show immediately and not postpone it," he added.
"I don't want to repeat myself, for all the accusations that I blamed on the previous bands that canceled because it was chewed, so let's conclude: since there is a fake war at the head of a fake band, we got a cancellation for sure, and we have to deal with it."
Mizrachi wanted to end the post with a bite: "And how can you end without a blessing? May the pita replace the baguette (which is already happening), and with the blessing of the second language that dominates and is gaining more and more momentum from the escalation. We are determined to continue to make an effort and bring artists who are interested in coming to Israel, Shaul."
The band was supposed to perform in Israel this Saturday evening as part of a concert tour designed to promote their third album "Paradigmes", which was released last year.
The show was even removed from the Barbie schedule.
