(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, AUGUST 09 - "I would like to express my firm condemnation for the latest bombings carried out inside and near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which caused significant damage to infrastructures, also in the proximity of the dry storage of nuclear fuel exhausted inside of the perimeter of the nuclear power plant ".

He praises the EU Commissioner for Energy Kdri Simson stressing that "the information obtained from the EU radioactivity monitoring systems and from international sources does not indicate any increase in radioactivity in Ukraine or the EU or any immediate threat of radiation".
