GTA 6: Developers have set high goals for the next part

In the current investor conference, publisher Take-Two spoke about the development status of "GTA 6".
However, details of the release were not disclosed.
Earlier this year, Rockstar Games confirmed that the next Grand Theft Auto game is in development.
Fans are wondering why the process is taking so long, after all it's been almost ten years since the release of "GTA 5".
To be fair, however, it has to be said that Rockstar has been working on "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the meantime - probably the studio's most ambitious project to date.
As publisher Take-Two now explains in the latest quarterly report, the developers want to set new standards with "GTA 6".
GTA 6: "Development is in full swing"
As part of the investor conference, Take-Two Interactive provided an insight into the sales figures for the past quarter and also discussed upcoming titles.
In this context, "GTA 6" was also mentioned (via

): "The development of the next part of the Grand Theft Auto series is already in full swing.
The Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set the creative standard for the series, our industry and the entertainment industry as a whole, just as the company has done with every major release to date."
While Take-Two doesn't say it directly, the publisher seems to provide an explanation between the lines as to why development is taking so long.
The game will therefore again offer many innovations and be much more extensive than its predecessor.
However, Bloomberg recently reported that they had to scale back their original plans for "GTA 6" and, for example, downsize the game world.

When is GTA 6 coming out?
Fans have been waiting for an announcement for several years.
So far, the developers haven't released any trailers or screenshots - let alone a release date.
Even the title of the game has not yet been decided, although many are sure that it will be "GTA 6".
Industry experts assume that "GTA 6" will appear in 2024 at the earliest.
