A 20-year-old is said to have killed two people in a backyard in Chemnitz.
The man is in custody, said the police in the Saxon city.
He is said to have attacked and killed a man and a woman.
On the night of Saturday, the two seriously injured people were found in the backyard of an apartment building in Chemnitz.
The 46-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital that night.
As the officials announced, the 34-year-old man has since died.
The situation in which the two bodies were found led the police to conclude that the deaths were violent.
Motives and background of the fact are so far unclear.
