Many have had a toaster in the cupboard for years, but are not familiar with this practical compartment.

But once its function is understood, it makes life easier:

If there is no appetite for rolls or bread at the breakfast table, toast is the best alternative.

Fresh out of the toaster it is still nice and warm and the butter can melt like heaven on it.

The best part?

Toast can still be topped with any breakfast favorite.

Toast with jam, cheese, sausage or honey is very popular at the German breakfast table.

Secret compartment on the toaster: how can the device be cleaned?

The electric toaster is also very popular in Germany and it is hard to imagine our kitchens without it.

The toasted white bread is simply delicious and now there are several variations of toast: wheat, whole grain and multigrain.

The only problem is the crumbs left by the toasted bread.

Because toast often crumbs over the work surface or the plate on which it is prepared and topped.

What does it look like in the toaster itself when the area around it is already full of crumbs?

Almost every household has a toaster, but many users do not know all the functions of the device.

In the toaster itself there is no option to remove the crumbs with a hand wipe or a cloth.

Fumbling around with a fork or similar utensil is not a good idea as this can often cause a short circuit.

The toaster can only be cleaned superficially with a cloth or cloth and you cannot penetrate to the depths of the toaster and the crumbs it contains.

To make it easier for consumers to clean the toaster, toaster manufacturers have installed a crumb tray.

This catches the crumbs that fall off the toast and you can pull them out of the toaster yourself and easily dispose of the crumbs in the household waste.

The crumb tray is usually an inconspicuous "handle" at the bottom of the device and is often overlooked by many consumers.

However, once the crumb tray has been discovered, cleaning the toaster is made much easier.

Since the crumb tray should also be cleaned regularly for safety reasons, the following applies: grab the drawer by the handle, pull it out, empty the crumbs and push it back in.
