Covid hospitalizations have dropped decisively in the last week.
In the medical area, the survey in hospitals belonging to the Fiaso sentinel network shows a -20%, a similar figure for intensive care which recorded -22% compared to the previous week and a stable employment index of 4.4%.
There was also a sharp decline in patients 'with Covid', whose hospitalization was determined by other pathologies but who tested positive for the swab.
However, they represent 60% of the hospitalized patients in the Covid areas of the surveyed hospitals.
Over 80% of the vaccinated in the medical area have an average age of 76 and have not undergone the fourth dose.
In intensive care, the average age drops to 73 years and 100% of the subjects are affected by other diseases, but even among this fragile segment of the population there is still underestimation of the risk and failure to administer the booster dose, specifies Fiaso.
Covid hospitalizations in pediatric hospitals and pediatric wards of hospitals belonging to the sentinel network of Fiaso have decreased by 27% in the last week.
No children in ICU.
The 0-4 year old class is always the most affected (76.5% of hospitalized), children under six months are 32.3% of the total.
