DM recall launches nationwide recall for Smoothie - all sell by dates affected

The drugstore chain dm is recalling a smoothie of its own brand.
Consumers are asked not to consume the product.
Kassel - Dm is known to most for its body care products as well as for the beauty department.
But groceries can also be purchased in the drugstore chain, meanwhile there is a wide range of products of the Dm own brand.
One of these products is now affected by a recall, as reported by the produktwarning.eu portal, citing the company.
The recall concerns the item "dmBio smoothie with protein" in the 250 milliliter bottle.
According to the company's press release, all products can be affected regardless of the best-before date (MHD).
Dm recalls Smoothie: There is a health hazard
The reason for the recall: According to Dm, it cannot be ruled out that the product contains traces of peanuts, sesame and other nuts and that the allergen labeling is therefore incorrect.
If customers suffer from a corresponding allergy or intolerance, the product should not be consumed.

Food allergies usually manifest themselves in reactions of the mucous membranes, for example in the form of swelling of the mucous membranes in the entire mouth, nose and throat area and swelling of the tongue.
Nausea, vomiting, flatulence and diarrhea are also possible.
In the worst case, those affected suffer from shortness of breath and anaphylactic shock.
Recall at Dm: Product sold throughout Germany
Consumers with a corresponding allergy are therefore asked to bring the product back to the dm stores, regardless of whether it has already been opened or not.
According to the company's press release, the purchase price will of course be refunded - even without presenting the receipt.
“The quality of our products is our top priority.
We regret the incident and apologize to all customers for the inconvenience caused,” writes Dm about the incident.

The product was sold in Dm branches throughout Germany, so the recall is nationwide.
