This new Netflix film, scheduled for September, brings together Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes, whose alliance will prove to be explosive.

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for

Do Revenge

, its new production which reunites actresses Maya Hawke (the clumsy, queer student from

Stranger Things

) and Camila Mendes (aka Veronica Lodge in Riverdale).

Do Revenge

is a dark comedy with the air of a thriller that is aimed primarily at young people of Generation Z but will undoubtedly appeal to their elders.

It features two teenage girls, Eleanor and Drea, who make a deal to get revenge on those who hurt them.

Drea, the fallen high school star, indeed wants revenge on a boy who leaked his sex tape, and thus ruined his reputation and his social status within the establishment.

Eleanor wants revenge on a girl who started a homophobic rumor about her.

Both hatch a plot to get revenge in a cross way, one interfering in the other's old life.

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the best-selling screenwriter of Thor: Love and Thunder, this Netflix production set in an upscale school shines a light on the intrigues of a golden youth.

Do Revenge

was inspired by high school classics from the 90s, such as

Sex Intentions

and

Ten Reasons to Dump You

.

Its broadcast is scheduled on the platform from Friday, September 16.
