At the beginning of the year, a father in Saxony took his then ten-month-old son to unregistered demonstrations against corona measures.
Because he attacked a policewoman with a pram in Pirna, the 35-year-old has now been sentenced to a year's imprisonment by the city's district court.
In addition, the man has to pay 2,400 euros to the state treasury as a condition of probation, as a court spokesman said.
According to the information, the accused was found guilty of two counts of assaulting law enforcement officials.
In addition, there would be resistance against law enforcement officers and intentional bodily harm as well as attempted coercion.
"The defendant has confessed to the deeds," said the court spokesman.
The man apologized.
The judgment is not yet final.
The public prosecutor had accused the accused of having rammed a stroller into the abdomen of a police officer at least five times during an unregistered demonstration against corona measures on January 3 in Pirna.
The officer said she was in severe pain.
The suspect had previously shouted at the police officer to let him through a police line with his child in the pram.
At another unregistered demonstration on January 10, the man is said to have carried his ten-month-old son in his arms in order to be able to pass a police line in this way.
