Recall: Do not eat bratwurst – manufacturer warns of wrong ingredient

When the temperatures are high, there is sizzling in many gardens and on many balconies in the republic.
A popular ingredient on the grill is the bratwurst.
However, consumers should be warned.
Bratwurst is currently being recalled by one manufacturer.
The meat producer "Bleyer & Wichert" has published a corresponding recall notice.
A certain type of bratwurst is affected by the product recall.
The reason for the recall is that the bratwurst contains an ingredient that was not labeled on the packaging.
If the sausages are consumed, this can have serious health consequences for allergy sufferers.

According to the meat producer from Schleswig-Holstein, the sausages contain mustard.
"Mustard is one of the allergens that must be labeled," it says.
This is confirmed by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture: The use of certain ingredients [...] that can trigger allergic or other intolerance reactions must always be indicated on the packaging of food," it says.
Among the 14 most common triggers of allergies and intolerances is "mustard and products made from it".
Attention, allergy sufferers: Bratwurst are currently being recalled.
