The district court of Bayreuth has sentenced three young people to several years in prison for attempted murder.
According to the court, the then 15-year-old defendants had collectively attacked and robbed a man one night in September 2021.
The man had slept on a bench outside in Kulmbach.
“The victim suffered life-threatening injuries in the course of the crime.
The accused then left the scene with their loot without providing assistance to the victim,” the court said.
The main perpetrator was sentenced to a youth sentence of six years for, among other things, attempted murder, dangerous bodily harm and particularly serious robbery.
The youth chamber imposed sentences of three years and eight months and three years and six months on the other two defendants.
They were convicted of, among other things, attempted cover-up murder by omission, robbery and dangerous bodily harm.
The verdict was made on Wednesday and is not yet final.
The court did not provide any further details, citing the interests of the juvenile defendants that were worthy of protection.
