Coffee not only boosts the metabolism: caffeine consumption also helps with weight loss.
However, the decisive factor is the time.
Whether in the morning to wake up, while chatting with your best friend or during the break with colleagues: coffee is part of everyday life for many people and can provide one or two enjoyable moments.
But that's not all: coffee sometimes also helps with weight loss.
However, it is important at what time you drink your pick-me-up.

Coffee is known to contain the stimulant caffeine.
It therefore not only helps against fatigue and even protects against some types of cancer, but also stimulates the metabolism.
Caffeine stimulates fat burning in the body.
This was shown in subjects in a study published in 2018, who were able to reduce not only their weight but also their body fat percentage after doubling their caffeine consumption.
At the same time, according to the results of another study, coffee also reduces hunger and appetite.
The two hormones leptin and peptide YY are responsible for this.
They give the body a feeling of satiety, which means that those who want to lose weight can stick to a diet better and the kilos can often fall off more easily.
However, coffee consumption does not have the same effect on weight loss at all times of the day.
Experts agree that time plays an important role.
The coffee should be drunk before 3 p.m. in order to achieve a positive effect.
By the way, coffee has the best effect on the body if you consume it between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.
Then the cortisol level in the body is lowest and the coffee can be processed well.
However, it is highest between 8 and 9 a.m.
If you consume caffeine at this time, the stress hormone can continue to rise and exceed its normal level.
Due to the shift in the daily cycle, this has negative effects on weight and hormone balance, especially in women.
In the long term, elevated cortisol levels can not only lead to weight gain, but also to sleep disorders and high blood pressure.

People who want to lose weight should drink three cups of coffee a day, with no upper limit – unless you can’t tolerate it.
He recommends a light coffee roast for this.
It contains more antioxidants, so-called polyphenols, and thus increases the health-promoting effect.
However, the expert advises against sugar, milk or cream due to the additional calories.
Lemon in coffee, on the other hand, can be a real diet booster.
