The National Commission for Quality and Reliability has set the date for conducting the unified national medical exam “September 2022” for students of the sixth year who wish to graduate and apply for higher studies in the faculties of human medicine in the public universities “Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Hama and Tartous” and the private universities “Qalamoun and Andalus for Medical Sciences, the Syrian University and the University of The Special Footnotes for Pharmacy and Cosmetology” and non-Syrian universities on Thursday 8 and 22-9 2022.
In its announcement, which SANA received a copy of today, the commission indicated that the exam will take place at eleven in the morning and for two hours each day in the centers of the universities of "Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Hama and Tartous" in the axes of "internal, dermatological, laboratory, pediatric, surgery, ophthalmology, ear, obstetrics and gynecology."
According to the announcement, all students of medical faculties in public and private universities who have completed all courses in public universities or credit hours in private universities for the year 2022 and before or who have only 4 courses or 12 credit hours remain for the exam are subject to the exam.
The commission set the passing mark for the unified medical exam for Syrian university students at 60 percent, and the student benefits from exam aid by only two marks, and the average for the sixth year is calculated on the basis of the standardized medical exam rate.
She indicated that students in human medicine faculties in public and private universities who are outside the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic can apply for the unified medical exam in their temporary places of residence outside Syria through the entry points of the Syrian Virtual University in “Austria, Dubai, Bahrain, Istanbul, Cairo, Erbil, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Beirut and Jordan.” .
The commission indicated that graduates of non-Syrian universities are subject to the unified medical exam in order to equalize their certificates, and the passing score for them is 50 percent, and the 60 percent mark is adopted as a condition for progressing to graduate studies.
The commission pointed out that the electronic registration for the exam continues until the twentieth of August, and the fees for the exam for students from inside Syria are paid 8 thousand Syrian pounds for students of private universities, 5 thousand Syrian pounds for students of public universities, and 7,500 Syrian pounds for students of non-Syrian universities in the Syrian Commercial Bank on the account. of the Commission and $150 for students applying through the virtual university access centers outside Syria on the university’s account.
The exam venues in public universities, the names of those accepted for the exam, and the dates for receiving exam cards will be announced later on the official website of the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation.
