She was 53 years old when she died.

Haish was born in 1969 in Ohio in the United States.

In her autobiographical book from 2001, she said that she experienced a difficult childhood and youth, which included sexual abuse by her father.

She even claimed that he raped her.

Her 18-year-old brother was killed that year in a car accident.

Haish began her path in the world of acting and television with roles in television series such as "Murphy Brown", but her first significant role in the field was in the soap opera "Another World" of the American network NBC, for which she even won the Emmy Award for daytime programs.

She played in several Hollywood films in the mid-1990s, but became a well-known cinematic name starting in the second half of the decade thanks to memorable roles in films such as "The Juror", "If the Walls Could Talk", "Donnie Brasco", "Wag the Dog", "I Know What You did last summer", "Six days and seven nights" and more.

Alongside this, Haish added to star in TV series, including "Eli Makbeel", "Grace's Choice", "Nip/Tuck" and more.

She was later married for five and a half years to photographer Coleman "Coolie" Lafon, with whom she gave birth to her first child.

She left him in favor of her partner in the series "Men on Trees" James Tupper, and they brought their second child with him.

The two divorced in 2018.

During interviews that she conducted in the past, she often talked about mental health issues.

When promoting her book "Call Me Crazy", she said that she was "crazy" for the first 31 years of her life, and that in order to overcome the sexual assault she experienced as a child, she created her own world where she felt safe.

According to her she developed an alter ego named "Celestia", who was the daughter of God and half sister of the Christian Jesus.

She also said that she has mentally balanced herself since then.
