There are 26,693 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours,
according to data from the Ministry of Health.
Yesterday the infected were 28,433.
The victims are 152, up from 130 yesterday.
The rate is 15%, unchanged from yesterday.
On the other hand, 306 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, while daily admissions are 33. On the other hand, 8,043 patients are hospitalized in ordinary wards, a slight decrease in the last 24 hours.
There are 8 regions where the occupancy rates of the medical departments exceed the alert threshold of 15%.
The highest percentages are in Umbria (34%), Campania (28.4), Liguria (22.5), Sicily (20), Friuli (18.5), Abruzzo (17.2), Molise (15.5 ) and Valle d'Aosta (15.3%).
All regions, on the other hand, are below the 10% threshold for intensive care.
As regards the incidence, Abruzzo at 673.3 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, Veneto at 520.1 and Calabria at 496.8 are the 3 regions with the highest values compared to the national average of 365. It emerges from the table of decision-making indicators of monitoring.
The Rt transmissibility index and the incidence of Covid-19 cases in Italy drop again this week
: the weekly incidence at national level is in fact equal to 365 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (05/08/2022 -11/08/2022) compared to 533 cases per 100,000 inhabitants last week. (29/07/2022 -04 / 08/2022).
The average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases also decreased, which, in the period 20 July - 2 August 2022, was equal to 0.81 (range 0.78-0.85), down compared to the previous week when it was equal to 0.90.

The reduction in the employment rate in intensive care of Covid patients continues: it drops to 3.2% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health on 11 August) compared to 3.6% (on 4 August).
The employment rate in medical areas nationwide also dropped to 13.0% (as of 11 August) compared to 15.2% on 4 August, thus falling below the alert threshold set at 15%.
Despite the improvement of the parameters and the "absence of congestion" in hospitals, "the virus continues to circulate and it is always good to make a reminder of caution and responsibility, especially in the presence of large aggregations. And remember that it is possible to carry out the fourth dose, especially for over-60s and frail people to avoid the most serious consequences of the disease ".

In fact, Rezza notes, "the incidence rate of Covid-19 cases in our country continues to decrease and this week the incidence reaches 365 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. RT also shows a downward trend and we are now at 0 , 81, so well below unity.
