Rescue workers in Cetinje, Montenegrin: killing spree apparently after a family dispute

A gunman shot dead 11 people in Montenegro before being killed himself.
This was reported by the country's state television, citing police sources.
Accordingly, the 34-year-old alleged perpetrator injured six more people, including a police officer in the city of Cetinje, 36 kilometers west of the capital Podgorica.
According to witnesses, the attacker shot indiscriminately at passers-by, including children.
Four of the wounded were reportedly taken to a hospital in Cetinje, while two others were taken to the hospital center in Podgorica with serious injuries.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic wrote on his Telegram channel that there had been “an unprecedented tragedy” in Cetinje and called on the nation to “keep in mind the families of the innocent victims, their relatives, friends and everyone who died people of Cetinje«.
According to the state television report, the killing spree was preceded by a family dispute.
An official statement from the police was still pending on Friday evening.
The Ministry of the Interior also did not comment for the time being and referred to a press conference in the evening.
