Recall: Again, a warning against the consumption of a sesame paste from Oldenburg

The Oldenburg company Al Shalati has to recall its sesame paste "Chtoura Garden - Ground Sesame Paste Tahina" from sale.
It was also available in online stores.
Oldenburg - The company Al Shalati wholesale has withdrawn the product "Chtoura Garden - Ground Sesame Paste Tahina" in a 400 gram plastic cup from the trade because of the detection of salmonella.
The article went on sale in Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, but is also offered to consumers in online shops such as Amazon.

The reason for the recall is the company's proof of salmonella.
These were found in 25 grams of a sample.
Since salmonella can cause dangerous diarrheal diseases, consumption is strongly discouraged.
The affected goods can be returned to retailers.

It's not the first time that Oldenburg has had to recall a sesame paste.
As early as June, people were warned against eating Al Goto Sesame Tahini from Al Shalati wholesale.
Even then there was a risk of salmonella.
Recall: consumer advocates warn against eating the paste
The Federal Office for Consumer Protection warns against the consumption of food contaminated with salmonella bacteria.
As a result, malaise, diarrhea, vomiting and fever could occur.
In this case, consumers should consult a doctor and immediately point out the suspicion of salmonella.
The incubation period after consumption is about 48 hours, rarely up to three days.
These symptoms can increase in young children, immunocompromised and elderly people.
