Oldenburg - The company Al Shalati wholesale has withdrawn the product "Chtoura Garden - Ground Sesame Paste Tahina" in a 400 gram plastic cup from the trade because of the detection of salmonella.

The article went on sale in Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, but is also offered to consumers in online shops such as Amazon.

The Federal Office for Consumer Protection warns against the consumption of food contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

In this case, consumers should consult a doctor and immediately point out the suspicion of salmonella.

The incubation period after consumption is about 48 hours, rarely up to three days.

These symptoms can increase in young children, immunocompromised and elderly people.
