Mid-August is almost upon us and to celebrate it there will be the usual exodus of vacationers who will reach the destination of their dream holidays.

It will therefore be a weekend with a black stamp that started today for the traffic of the big departures which will culminate tomorrow.

In fact, starting this afternoon, traffic is expected to increase steadily along the Anas network.

In particular, Viabilità Italia provides for a red stamp, starting from today and a black stamp in the morning of tomorrow, 13 August, with increasing movements towards the major directions.

The sticker turns red starting from tomorrow afternoon and throughout Sunday, August 14, with heavy traffic for the last departures for the holidays and for the August bank holiday, a day in which traffic is expected to be lighter than the yellow sticker.

The roads most affected by

exodus are those directed to the south, the main routes towards the holiday resorts, in particular along the Adriatic, Tyrrhenian and Ionian ridges and at the border crossings towards France, Slovenia and Croatia, and out of urban centers and for the numerous local displacements.

To make this weekend of exodus safer today from 16 to 22, tomorrow Saturday 13 August from 8 to 22, Sunday 14 August and Monday 15, the day of August 15th, the ban on heavy vehicles will be in force from 7 to 22.

Record mid-August, 10 million on vacation

And for a safer mid-August even the Italian stations that will be the destination of millions of vacationers, will be 'monitored'.

482 airports are involved in the operation of the Railway Police Service in anticipation of the greater flow of departures by train.

15,835 people checked, one person arrested and 35 suspects, as well as 4,503 baggage inspected in total, also with the use of metal detectors: these are the main results of the day of extraordinary services dedicated in particular to the fight against illegal activities and the prevention of any action marked by illegality.

Enhanced checks especially on travelers and their luggage by the 1,139 railway police operators involved in the device which, due to the circumstance,

it was strengthened with the support of canine units and patrols of the Crime Prevention Departments of the State Police.

20 baggage depots, within which 1,743 suitcases in storage were checked.

60 the penalties raised during the day;
