Three cleaning tricks with shaving cream: Surprise from the spray bottle

Anyone who looks at advertisements for cleaning agents quickly thinks that every stain needs its own cleaning agent.
In most apartments there is a spray bottle that is an all-round talent for cleaning: the shaving foam.
The detergent drawer is overflowing and yet you can't find the special cleaner that you bought extra?
Do not worry.
If you have shaving foam at home, it becomes a cleaning miracle.
We'll tell you three cleaning tricks for which you only need a spray bottle of shaving cream.
What actually is shaving cream?
That's why it works well for cleaning
Shaving foam consists of:
Potassium soap
: It thickens shaving foam and is also found in soft soap
Triethanolamine
: This chemical compound is used as a basic component in soaps, but also as a softener for leather, for example.
Moisturizers
: They are supposed to help the skin not to lose its protective oil film when shaving.
Stearic acid
: This natural fatty acid has an alkaline reaction with water or bases.
It is used in detergents and as an additive in industry.
The potassium soap in particular is the reason why shaving foam is also used outside of body care.
Potassium soap is the main component of classic soft soaps and is therefore also present in many expensive special products.
The mostly cheap shaving foam is therefore a cheap alternative.

Trick 1: Shaving foam as an oven cleaner
The oven needs to be cleaned again – the pizza fell off the grill weeks ago, and there is a thick layer of fat on the walls.
This task is really not pleasant.
Baked fat is very resistant.
Many therefore resort to aggressive oven cleaners - which, however, have a strong chemical smell.
Instead, you simply clean the oven with shaving cream.
Spray the oven with the foam and let it sit for a couple of hours.
You can now simply scrub away the dirt with a sponge.
Incidentally, you can use exactly the same process for burnt-in pots.
Trick 2: Clean textiles with shaving foam
The car seat, the shoes, the carpet or the handbag: stains are always annoying.
With a bit of luck, you can save yourself an expensive cleaning with shaving foam.
Test the detergent on an inconspicuous area first in case your fabric is sensitive to the foam.
For example, you should be careful with materials made of suede.
For example, apply a thin layer of shaving cream to the stain on your sofa to clean it.
This time, leave the foam on for just a few minutes and remove with a slightly damp cloth.
Trick 3: Simply remove limescale with shaving cream
From the faucet to the sink and the drain in the bathtub: there are many places in the home where we would like shiny steel or chrome.
However, the calcareous tap water causes dull deposits in the bathroom and kitchen.
Here it is enough to apply the shaving cream and remove it immediately with a soft sponge.
