(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 12 AUG - The US will carry out new "air and marine exercises" in the Taiwan Strait.
This was announced by Kurt Campbell, White House coordinator for Asia-Pacific and advisor to President Joe Biden, also stressing that the United States intends to deepen economic ties with Taiwan.
"The United States will continue to fly, sail and operate where international law allows, consistent with our longstanding commitment to freedom of navigation," he explained.
"We are developing an ambitious roadmap for trade negotiations which we will announce in the coming days," he said.
