Venice, Walter Hill receives the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker award

The "Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker" award at the 79th Venice Film Festival went to US director and producer Walter Hill, who will present the world premiere of his new film, Dead For A Dollar, at the Lido. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - VENICE, 12 AUGUST - The "Cartier Glory to theFilmmaker" award at the 79th Venice Film Festival was awarded to American director and producer Walter Hill, who at Lido will present the world premiere of his new film, DeadFor A Dollar.

This was announced by the Venice Biennale and Cartier, explaining that the award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 6 September in the Sala Grande (Palazzo del Cinema) at 9.45pm, before the out-of-competition screening of Dead For A Dollar (USA, Canada, 114 ') with Christoph Waltz , Willem Dafoe, Rachel Brosnahan, eBenjamin Bratt.


    The Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker award is dedicated to a personality that has marked contemporary cinema in a particularly original way.
