It is a coast very little frequented by Parisians, and yet the duo of Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez has been classified as a Grand Site de France since 2011, in the same way as the Baie de Somme, the Marais poitevin or the wild dunes from Gavres to Quiberon.
Tourism here, 15 km from Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais), mainly sees an influx of Belgians, who have driven up the price of real estate.
Hair in the wind, perched on the cliffs of Cape Gris-Nez, you can see the cliffs of Dover, about thirty kilometers away.
It is the closest place to England, the strategic maritime point, where 400 merchant ships sail daily.
