16-year-old Denis Holub ran 1,100 kilometers from Freiburg to Hamburg for a good cause.

On Sunday evening, the young charity runner reached the Elbphilharmonie in the Hanseatic city after 16 days.

Holub started his charity run for poor children in Freiburg on July 30th.

His family supported him as an escort.

Mother Ana-Luiza and his brothers drove from stage to stage by car and by bike.

They transported food and equipment.

With the charity campaign under the motto “Denis runs across”, the student at the Martin-Schongauer Gymnasium in Breisach am Rhein wants to encourage as many people as possible to donate.

The high school student supports the work of the international children's aid organization Mary's Meals, which was founded in Scotland.

This helps children in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
