(by Francesco Nuccio) (ANSA) - PALERMO, AUGUST 14 - Over ten thousand young people danced until late at night, chanting slogans against the mafia, in the Selinunte Park in Castelvetrano, once the "kingdom" of the fugitive boss Matteo Messina Denaro, where he was held the "Music & Legality" event and the ANSA exhibition "The legacy of Falconee Borsellino".

An initiative promoted by the witness of justice Valeria Grasso.

In the heart of the largest archaeological park in Europe, in sight of the temple of Hera, Paul Kalkbrenner, an internationally renowned German electronic music artist, was the star of the Unlocked Music Festival.

A cheering crowd of young people from all over Europe who, despite the sultry evening, cooled by the jet of fire hydrants, were able to attend the concert and the magic of the sunset on the Acropolis.

The witness of the event was Captain Ultimo, Colonel of the Carabinieri Sergio De Caprio who in 1993 arrested Totò Riina.

"I became a man thanks to Sicily and the Sicilian people.

We fought against arrogance, violence, against lamafia "said the officer, addressing an invitation to all the young people present:" The fight against the mafia must be a struggle of people.

Nothing can stop your love, your anger, your sweetness, your desire for freedom.

And this love shows and they must be afraid of you. "Valeria Grasso, the entrepreneur who lives under guard after having denounced clan Madonia, a historic mafia family in the Palermo district of San Lorenzo, has also launched an appeal:" he must abandon those who rebel against protection money, who oppose the mafia and become a fundamental pivot in the fight against crime.

Whoever denounced must be supported, supported, must make a difference.

And the difference is made by facts and not by words ".

as the temple behind us testifies.

And music certainly represents an important attraction to bring you closer to the beauty of our past and to current issues such as that of legality ".

The commitment in the fight against mafias, organized crime, against all forms of addiction was the pro-conductor of the project born nine years ago by Valeria Grasso, founder of the association "Legality is freedom", and supported by the Ministry of Health.

The young people present at the event were also able to visit the ANSA photographic exhibition "The legacy of Falcone and Borsellino", set up at the entrance to the Park, which stopped in Selinunt as part of the tour throughout Sicily to commemorate the thirty-year anniversary of the massacres.

The exhibition tells the life of the two magistrates killed by the mafia through unpublished images and texts from the agency: from childhood in the Kalsa district of Palermo to entering the judiciary, up to the birth of Poolantimafia,

to the maxi-trial and the massacres of '92, but also the rebellion of civil society and the arrests of the great bosslatitanti.

The last one still in circulation is Matteo MessinaDenaro to whom last night thousands of young people launched a challenge with an unmistakable flavor: "Sicily is ours and not of What Our".
