Streaming giants, channels... on connected televisions, the war on the remote control buttons

2022-08-14T05:57:50.339Z

More and more televisions are offering buttons for direct access to Netflix, Prime Video and other video platforms.

“This is my daughter's main request,” smiles Dominique, a fifty-year-old from Picardy, in the midst of looking for a new television for his offspring's bedroom.

If he is interested in the quality of the image as well as the dimensions, Louise, 18, has her eyes focused on the remote control.

His requirement: a Netflix button.

"I no longer watch traditional channels," she says.

And watching on a phone, tablet or even a computer is not the same as watching on a big screen.

Good surprise for both: almost all of the models that interest them have this famous red button, often accompanied by another for Prime Video, Amazon's service.

And even Disney+ for a few others.
