The Briton, visibly affected by the comments about him on the platforms, has indicated his intention to cut himself off from the networks

“I will disappear from social media again.

I love you and see you soon.

Silent for several weeks on the Internet, British actor Tom Holland momentarily reconnected to Instagram on Sunday to announce his withdrawal from the platforms.

"I'm pausing social media to preserve my sanity," said the Spider-Man interpreter in a video posted on Instagram on Sunday and viewed more than 67 million times.

“I find Instagram and Twitter to be too overwhelming, too overwhelming, I get overwhelmed, and I get angry when I read about myself online.

It ends up affecting my mental health, so I decided to go back and delete the apps,” he explained.

Tom Holland also took advantage of this short return to social networks to promote the Stem4 association, which he supports and which helps teenagers deal with their mental problems.

“There is a horrible mental health stigma,” he added.

“And I know asking for help, seeking help, is not something to be ashamed of, but it's easier said than done.

The Brit isn't the only one complaining of psychological issues.

On Friday, Belgian singer Selah Sue also opened up about her own mental health in a lengthy Instagram post.

“I live in hell,” wrote the Belgian singer, adding to take antidepressants, a treatment she had already had to follow as a teenager.

Revealed on the big screen for his role as Spider-Man in the latest Spider-Man films, Tom Holland started on stage at the age of 12, in the musical version of “Billy Elliot”.

There followed a few appearances at the cinema in the disaster film “The Impossible” (2012) or “At the Heart of the Ocean” (2015).
