In a serious accident involving a bus from Serbia, many children and adults were injured in Bulgaria.
The accident, which is believed to have been caused by the driver, occurred on Sunday evening near the southern Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora.
The bus had left the road in the direction of Sofia and overturned in a ditch.
Eight children and four adults were taken to hospitals with injuries, some of them serious, according to the Bulgarian Ministry of the Interior.
Almost all other inmates were examined and, if necessary, treated medically.
The cause of the accident was suspected to be a mistake by the driver, whose attention was distracted on the bus, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdschiev told the TV station bTV.
The bus was with 38 children and 10 adults from Serbia on the way from the Bulgarian Black Sea coast to Belgrade.
The children took part in a folklore festival in the seaside resort of Slanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach).
Investigations were to be initiated on Monday night.
Just over a week ago, four people died in a serious accident involving a bus from Romania in Bulgaria.
