Christophe Dechavanne returns to TV with Léa Salamé on France 2

PARISIAN INFO. The ex-host of "Coucou c'est nous" will join Léa Salamé's band in Franc's new Saturday night talk show

The phoenix will once again rise from its ashes.

Next September, France 2 will launch its new Saturday talk show in the second part of the evening.

It will now be hosted solo by Léa Salamé, who will succeed Laurent Ruquier, tenant of the box for sixteen years with “We are not lying” then “We are live”.

The 42-year-old journalist knows the slice well for having co-hosted it with the boss of the "Big Heads" last season.

For this new program wanting to "tell the time", the morning of France Inter will be surrounded by a new tape.

Among them, and it's a surprise, Christophe Dechavanne!

At 64, the host of “Ciel, mon mardi!

will have a special status of “permanent guest” in the new program, with in particular a dedicated appointment each week.

After spending most of his career with the TF 1 group, Christophe Dechavanne returns to a channel he left at the end of the 1990s after presenting "Télé Qua Non" (1997) and "Du fer dans spinach” (1997-1998).

This new adventure will mark above all his great return to television after several setbacks on TF1.

The latest dates back to the summer of 2019, when the channel entrusted him with the reins of season 2 of "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!"

".

The disappointing audiences of the program and a difficult filming had convinced the front page not to continue the adventure.

Accustomed to air pockets like rebirths

Then put into forced unemployment, Christophe Dechavanne had not hidden from November 2019 "his lack" of TV.

“With TF1, I have no contract, no project,” he lamented at the time.

After two years of absence, he ended up hosting in June 2021 on C8 a short salvo of the game "Take it or leave it".

Without tomorrow.

Last April, the host seemed ready to make a final cross on his cathodic career.

"Everyone has my number, and it's not ringing.

We are not going to deceive ourselves after a while”, he had declared in “Télématin”, saying he was ready to devote himself to comedy.

The phone therefore ended up ringing for the phoenix of the PAF, accustomed to air pockets as well as to rebirths.

In 2003, "Nice people" on TF1 had already relaunched his career after several lean months.

Christophe Dechavanne then chained “The celebrity farm”, “The wheel of fortune” or even “A golden family” on the front page.

This time, it was Léa Salamé, a fan of his shows in his youth, who came to pick him up.

Appreciating her freedom of tone, her passion for artists and her commitment to social issues, the journalist provoked a meeting in July.

The interview immediately sealed their amazing bond despite not knowing each other before.

7 to 8 personalities per evening

The host will not be alone in surrounding Léa Salamé in her new role as mistress of ceremonies.

Already officiating in “We are live” last season, comedian Philippe Caverivière will resume service in the new band.

The comedian who is rising at RTL should inherit more space than last year when he signed only one column per show.

On the guest side, the new program of France 2 intends to bet on 7 to 8 personalities per evening, coming from very different universes.

They could be anonymous witnesses of the news, everyday heroes, as well as figures from the world of culture or political leaders.

Lasting about two hours, the talk show should also include short magnetos, especially archives, aimed at giving more rhythm to the program.

Unlike the "living room" side of "We are live", Léa Salamé's new set will be more reminiscent of an arena.

It will notably have a large round table around which all the guests can sit at the same time.

Another big difference with last season's show, the France 2 program will now be recorded in public on Friday evening, for broadcast the next day.

As for the name of the show, it is not yet decided.

It will not be a priori "We can not say anything more", the name given last July by France Télévisions during its presentation conference for the 2022-2023 season.
